From The Port of Malai we ventured to the Kilim Karst Geoforest Park. A short long boat ride brought us to the bat cave. Hundreds of them hung upside down, clinging to the ceiling of the cave. Saw lots of stalagmites and stalactites and other rock formations as well. The monkeys are often called sea monkey as when it is low tide they can be found hunting the little crabs for a meal. Then we reboarded our long boats for a cruise through the winding river, mangrove forest and limestone islands. We stopped to watch the three species of wild eagles swoop and dive hunting for food in the river. We then continued on to visit a fish farm, to learn about aquaculture. A vast majority of the fish found in markets and served in restaurants come from these fish farms.
